My social media sounds
It’s not a song.
It’s a social media sound.

Not a song. Just me in a coat that cost more than my microphone.
I grew up singing.
Most of my life in church, leading worship.
A complicated relationship with faith, and a lifetime of writing poetry and songs that came out of it.
Now I use AI to bring those sounds to life.
What AI artists create, I call social media sounds.
Not songs. Sounds.
Each one is my perspective, said clear, on something that happened to me.
Or it is made for the post it plays under.
For fun. For me.
One new sound per post.
Why not “music”
Musician means more than what I do, or can do.
I respect the craft too much to borrow the word.
The people I look up to, I couldn’t use the same word for myself.
I’m not aspiring to.
It’s an outlet.
I bump it in the car knowing I wrote that shit, and it feels cool.

The hat is the whole position statement.
Why every post gets its own
When I came back to social, I refused to fight over viral sounds.
Picking the song was half the battle of posting.
I love music too intimately for that to be a casual choice.
So I make one.
A sound for the post, or for whatever happened that day.
It says things that matter.
Mental health, politics, human rights, racism, transphobia, homophobia, and everything in between.
It’s chaotic as fuck.
I gas myself up every time it comes on.
It lets me be my own person.
Which we all need to learn how to do.

I’m just a Pisces. Be nice to me.
A musical artist.
I don’t play or sing at a level I’d release.
I wouldn’t call what I make music.
Someone who can’t hear a song once.
A lifelong student of writing, a solid prompt engineer, and a seventh grader’s knowledge of music theory.
Melodies as therapy since my first teenage heartbreak.
Before that, church, where nobody minds if you sing badly.
I’ve worked with a lot of professional musicians.
Close enough to know what it takes.
And I do not has it.
I have no desire to has it.

Chaos For Good, Vol. 1.

There’s more coming and I’m not telling you when.
Software, books, and some stupid fun.
I’d rather drop it than run a countdown at you for six months.
Get on this list and you’ll know the day it’s out.
Already on Wednesday’s fifty?
You’re covered either way.
This one is for people who only want the drops.
